This is a brief outline as to why we worship "Parashuraama"

We have not seen God, and those who have seen i.e., Rishhi-s, describe Him as a "vastu" pervading all space AND time having ananta rupa-gunas-naamas -- all as a homogeneus eka vastu. Like this, even in a tiny neucleus, God is ananta rupa-s etc. 
Thus, in Agni also He stays with anantarupa-guna-naamas. However, He exhibits only finite gunas/nama-rupa in the Agnideva, and much much less in the jada matter agni with the name Agni. The Rishhi-s "see" all these. 
They reveal us what is useful for our sadhana, hence we bow to these Rishhi-s daily out of gratitude.
Vishvamitra Rishhi had this "darshana" of Agni while meditating gayatri mantra -- He saw the first axara  [tat]in Gayatri in the form of Harani-Parashuraama controlling Svaha pati Agnideva, who has 3 eyes, rakta varna, with abhaya-shakti hastha, with mesha vahana. The purpose of this upadesha to us, is to teach us to think of this rupa to get rid of our paapa. 
"seers" say the same Parashuraama stays:
1. In the middle of our palm [when we accept] to remove the sins of accepting "daana".
2. In our "vaak" to fullfil the desires of the giver.
3. In "deepa", to remove our shabda dosha during prayer.
4. "paaka-agni" to remove the many doshas in food grain, their procurement etc. 
5. In 12 devatas responsible for food to remove praani himsa we do while cooking like cutting, boiling, sweeping, grinding, pounding.
Ideally, Brahmanas worship His 3 forms in three agni-s daily as well to get the eligibility to receive "daana" -- when one receives "daana", namaskaara, the givers many sins get destroyed. With the protection of Angi antargata Parashuraama, no paapa sticks to the receiver, and bestows the receiver for doing his kartavya.
For, us, even the thought of His mere name gives many benefit thanks to "relative scoring" in this yuga!
