Puje:

As with many puja/vratas, Vedokta Ganapathi Puja Paddhati can be found both online and offline in many booklets, audio video etc. The following also is based on standard puja books like "VrathanushhTaana Paddhati", "Vrata Muktavali", and "Vishwanandini".

I. The deity to be worshipped

II. When is the most special day for special puja

III. Things needed

IV. Puja Krama

5. Phala

I. The deity to be worshipped:

Lord Vishnu is the one who is worshipped in all puja/vratas as the Supreme Independent entity. He is all pervading, all controlling and the giver of all fruits of all karma-s. All names primarily address and belong to Him only. Being in all lesser deities starting from Laxmi, He receives all the offerings, and bestows the phala through them to everyone. Thus, He is always worshipped along with His "parivaar" who serve Him.

In this puja, Lord Vishnu as "Vishvambhara" is present in a very special way in Vighneshwara aka Parvati Putra Ganapathi and gives the popular Parvati Putra Ganapathi the ability to pervade space, remove obstacles and control all the "jiva-ganas", below him. As one can see, the REAL Ganapathi word applies primarily to Lord Vishnu, who is the owner of the name "Ganapathi". After Him, the word denotes Laxmi, then Vaayu, Shiva and so on. Thus all these deities higher than Parvati Putra Ganapathi are also present in him, control him and receive our prayers as per the order of Lord Vishnu.

II. When is the most special day for special puja: During the lunar month of Bhadrapada, Shukla paxa [waxing moon] chaturthi [4th day from newmoon]. Any panchanga /calendar will mention this.
